Regina Yoga

Regina Yoga - Kundalini is a coil of energy or Skakti, situated at the base of the spine, according to ancient Hindu philosophy. Through the method of spiritual development, Kundalini energy can be awakened and this practice causes it to rise along the spine and activate the chakras or energy centers along the way. This stimulation is said to lead to spiritual enlightenment together with physical effects.

Exactly when the idea of Kundalini started is not known. There are passages in the 8th century Siva Sutras which assume that the reader is familiar with it. In Hatha Yoga Pradipika, a Hindu text that was written between the 12th and 15th centuries, the Kundalini is described in much greater detail. It elaborates on the physical exercise which the Western cultures most commonly connect with yoga.

While he was translating two Hindu texts, Sir John Woodroffe referred to Kundalini as "Serpent Power." His descriptions in the early part of the 20th century have resulted in the longstanding image of Kundalini as a snake. The word Kundalini truly translates to mean "coiled up." Well-known Western thinkers C.W. Leadbeater and Carl Jung both discussed Kundalini in their writings. Many of their critics object that they did not do the idea any justice since they took it out of its cultural context.

There are somewhat a few supporters of Kundalini Yoga who practice the many combinations of meditation, postures and chanting. These actions are meant to awaken the power of Kundalini within the body. Awakening the Chakras can also comprise contemplating certain images, applying special breathing exercises and consuming particular foodstuff. Lots of people feel this is the greatest form of body and mind exercise because it focuses on the physical benefits of spiritual health. Some of the medical professions in the West have just given Kundalini Yoga a second look.

Kundalini Yoga has a reputation of being extremely powerful and practitioners warn that individuals must not seek to awaken it on their own with no expert guidance. Kundalini stimulation is described by some as being a lengthy and normally lifelong learning procedure. As Kundalini rises through the chakras, it could be an extremely intense experience both physically and emotionally. Several individuals think that it could also be harmful if not done with caution and performed correctly.

Stimulating Kundalini energy has usually come with some noted side effects consisting of: tingling sensations, depression, gastrointestinal problems, anxiety and headache amongst others. It is also recommended that you confide in your spiritual leader or trusted doctor before partaking in Kundalini work. This would help maintain personal safety because diagnosing whichever medical problems which could probably be related to Kundalini could prove to be a delicate issue. Individuals who practice Kundalini and practitioners themselves claim that awakening it can have incredible benefits in every aspect of a person's existence. It is always recommended to consult your medical doctor prior to beginning whatever new physical activity.

Regina was founded in 1882 and became well-known during the North-West Rebellion period, when troops were transported by train before they marched to the front line. What's more, the rebellion's leader named Louie Riel was hanged in Regina.
